(The candle of Hope is already lit)

Today is the Advent of peace.

As we light this candle, we remember all those who live int the midst of conflict, in their own homes, in their communities, in their countries, anywhere in the world.

We live in a fractured world,

Of racial tensions and economic disparity.

We light this candle as our commitment

To embracing diversity.

We are the peacemakers in this world.

We light this candle to herald the coming of Jesus,

The Prince of Peace.

(The second candle of Peace is lit)

And none shall be afraid.

Advent Candle Lighting   ………….
(The candle of Hope, Peace, and Joy are already lit)
Today is the Advent of Love.
As we light this candle, we remember all who are feeling lonely
and distressed at this time of year.
We live in a world,
That fears the stranger, and the strange.
We light this candle as our commitment to love
That is expressed in inclusivity.
We are the community that welcomes
Unconditionally and generously.
We light this candle for Jesus,
The Light of all.
(The forth candle of Love is lit)
